Hana Kassem Named President-Elect of AIA New York

The election reflects both the KPF Design Principal’s strong leadership within the profession and her ongoing efforts to champion interdisciplinary, human-centric design in New York City and beyond.

This distinguished role, conferred at the AIA New York’s 158th Annual Meeting, highlights both Hana’s exemplary leadership and KPF’s enduring commitment to design excellence and advocacy within the architectural community. Recognized for her interdisciplinary and human-centric design approach, Hana has consistently advanced projects that prioritize community, well-being, and sustainability.

Her selection as First Vice President/President-Elect for the year of 2025/2026 underscores the trust placed in her vision to help guide the chapter at a pivotal moment for New York City’s built environment. “Now more than ever, it is critical for our field to work together, to convene, exchange and share insights,” says Hana about her new leadership role. “I look forward to my upcoming year as President Elect and VP, alongside this year’s President, Mark Gardner, to highlight the ways in which architecture can indeed elevate lives and foster more equitable, social, and thriving environments.” Hana will assume the position of President of the organization for the year of 2026/2027.
