The KPF Senior Associate Principal joined a panel at the annual real estate conference to discuss urban development trends and current KPF projects in the Austin metro area.
As Project Manager for Waterline, which is slated to top out later this summer along Austin’s Waller Creek, Franz is well-versed in the localized process of development and the urban trends affecting it. His panel, “Urbanizing Austin: Connectivity, Placemaking and the Future of Austin’s Built Environment inside the CBD,” focused on the dialogue between the city’s changing urban identity and the rapid growth that is spurring new development, particularly in the office and residential sectors.
Franz was in discussion with Brad Stein, President of Intracorp Texas; Davon Barbour, CEO and President of the Downtown Austin Alliance; and Andrew Alvarado, Vice President at Weitzman. The conversation was moderated by Wes Wigginton, Managing Director at Foursquare. The event took place on June 11, with Franz’s panel beginning at 10 am local time.
