Four KPF Projects Win Prix Versailles Awards

The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards, Echelon Seaport, K11 Musea, and Rosewood Bangkok were awarded in the “Shops & Stores, Shopping Malls, Hotels, Restaurants” sector of the 2020 Prix Versailles Awards.

In the Shopping Malls category, The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards won the Prix Versailles 2020, while Echelon Seaport was recognized with the Special Prize Exterior award for North America. A seven-level shopping location with 100 stores, The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards is located at 20 Hudson Yards in Manhattan’s mixed-use development. In Boston, Echelon Seaport offers 25,000 square feet of destination retail and community space within the KPF-master planned Boston Seaport Square Innovation District. Hong Kong’s cultural and retail destination K11 Musea, designed by LAAB Architects within the KPF-designed and master planned Victoria Dockside, also won the highest award in the Shopping Malls category in the Central Asia and Northeast region.

In the Hotels category, Rosewood Bangkok won the Special Prize Interior award. The 30-floor tower offers 159 rooms and features two restaurants, two bars, a luxurious spa, and an outdoor swimming pool.

The panel of judges rewarded projects for their innovation, creativity, ecological efficiency, and their interactions with the surrounding nature and culture. Each year Prix Versailles gives out awards to six different regions: Africa and West Asia, Central/South America and the Caribbean, North America, Central Asia and the Northeast, South Asia and the Pacific, and Europe.
