Abu Ghazaleh Investments and Palace Group have unveiled KPF’s design for The Cliffs, a landmark residential project along the Dubai Water Canal and bordering the Dubai Safa Park.
Drawing from local geographical precedent, The Cliffs stacks luxury units, amenities, spacious balconies, and attractive green spaces into a jagged form simulating the effects of a millennia of elemental erosion. Two staggered towers are unified by a multi-level podium comprising parking, event space, amenities, and cultural attractions. The residential arrival experience features topographical landscaping that culminates in a monumental drop off at the fourth and fifth stories.
“Our design for this development was born from its context, its sculptural form and cliff-like terraced silhouette derived from the unique rock formations found throughout the Emirates and shaped to maximize views of the park, waterfront, and dramatic Dubai skyline beyond,” said KPF Design Principal Hana Kassem. “Our mission was to create an urban oasis, a bespoke living experience steeped in wellness and leisure, a sought-after destination comprised of timeless architecture that would be a landmark for the city. Situated in the desirable Jumeirah area, on the south side of the Dubai Water Canal, The Cliffs is destined to leave an enduring mark on Dubai’s skyline. Including 185,000 square feet of construction paired with 250,000 square feet of landscaped gardens, the development will house a collection of high-specification luxury residences and a state-of-the-art wellness club to deliver an unparalleled standard of living. Native plants and water features incorporated throughout integrate the building with its environment.
