Christina Brown Presents on How Architects Can Pair Environmental Simulations with Real-World Measurement

The Senior Environmental Performance Specialist will join a webinar hosted by the International Building Performance Simulation Association USA (IBPSA-USA) to discuss how to bridge predictive modeling and field measurement in sustainable design, using the Comcentre Redevelopment as a case study.

Simulation tools predict performance; field data proves it. In IBPSA-USA’s webinar “From Model to Measured,” Christina will draw on her evidence-based approach to sustainable design, looking at how architects can pair environmental simulations—such as energy, daylight, airflow, and thermal comfort—with real-world measurement—such as sensors, spot checks, and physical testing—to validate model accuracy and feed those findings back into active design decisions. Joined by Yiwei Lyu of Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture, Christina will speak on her research’s applications to her current projects, including the Comcentre Redevelopment.
