520 Fifth Avenue’s Refined Design and Luxe Amenities Featured in Mansion Global

For luxury residences in New York City, glass boxes are out and tasteful detailing is in. That’s according to a piece in Mansion Global, which also identifies extensive amenity packages such as fitness centers, members clubs, and catering kitchens as must-haves for upscale apartment buildings that are launching sales in 2024. KPF’s 520 Fifth Avenue, a 1,000-foot-tall tower that is currently under construction one block north of Bryant Park, is among the exponents of this trend. The building’s expression of stepped volumes references nearby Midtown towers while its delicately arched façade references adjacent Beaux-Arts icons such as the Century Association and the New York Public Library and translates their aesthetic in terra cotta, glass, and aluminum.

520 Fifth Avenue will comprise Class-A offices and 100 residences, which offer amenities including residents-only social space in the building’s crown; a private members’ club, spa, and fitness center at ground level; and dining options. Read the full story here.
