The largest federal building in the southeast, the Atlanta Federal Center enhances the character of its urban context and rehabilitates a historically significant structure.

Adjacent to the Richard B. Russel Federal Building and the MARTA Five Points station, the 24-story tower and the 10-story building are connected by an eight-story bridge over Forsyth Street. Amenities include a fitness center, a day care center with exterior play area, a cafeteria, and conference rooms for the many federal agencies that occupy the office building.

The campus of buildings encloses a vast green urban space at the heart of the complex. The new building exterior, composed of aluminum, glass, precast concrete, and granite, serves as a backdrop to this new park, located at the intersection of Alabama and Forsyth Streets.
