Riverside 66 Wins International Architecture Award

KPF’s winning design completes the final phase of the He Ping Lu pedestrian boulevard, becoming the centerpiece of a new commercial district.

KPF has been awarded the 2015 International Architecture Award for Riverside 66 in Tianjin, China. Organized by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design with The European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, the award is part of one the world’s foremost building awards programs, recognizing new and cutting-edge design. KPF’s winning design completes the final phase of the He Ping Lu pedestrian boulevard, becoming the centerpiece of a new commercial district while marking its presence monumentally from the revitalized Hai He River. With one of the grandest public spaces in Tianjin, Riverside 66 activates the regenerated riverfront as it reinvents the role of China’s urban market.
