Progressing Ahead of Schedule, Demolition Work Completes at One Madison Avenue

Progress continues on the KPF-renovation project in the Flatiron District, with New York YIMBY releasing new images of the construction.

This week, work at One Madison Avenue hit a milestone, with demolition work fully completed ahead of schedule. The project consists of updating the mid-century podium and expanding the site to include a tower with over an acre of outdoor space through multiple terraces, totaling 27 floors. The renovation retains 67% of the original building’s structure and has a forecasted energy reduction of over 60%. The new building will provide unobstructed views of neighboring 5 Madison Ave Clock Tower and Madison Square Park thanks to a glass, curtain wall façade. Office spaces will have an open floor plan to accommodate flexible workspace and state-of-the-art amenities. The project is targeting both WELL and LEED-Gold certification.
