One Causeway Bay Tops Out in Hong Kong

The office tower celebrated the milestone on July 3 and has now entered its final phase of construction with a grand opening expected in 2025.

Built on the first plot of land sold after Hong Kong became a British Colony in 1841, One Causeway Bay contains 24 floors of office and retail space on a trapezoidal floorplate. The building interfaces with the adjacent Victoria Harbour by imitating its water pattern in the glass façade design, which alternates orientations vertically on the face of the tower and transitions into horizontal waves at the base. The podium’s shaded, setback glass entry provides a welcoming shopping atmosphere. The tower is topped with a landscaped roof garden and restaurant, and crowned by a landmark LED screen which is visible from across the water.

One Causeway Bay will contain 500,000 square feet of office space and aims to provide not just a corporate base but also enable a holistic, healthy lifestyle for the city’s professionals.
