Leif Lomo and Kerry Ngan were judges of The Barlett’s Urban Planning Society’s (BUPS) “Building Bloomsbury: Urban Masterplanning Hackathon.”
The week-long event invited creative ideas from undergraduate and postgraduate students from UCL to tackle complex urban planning challenges and support the UCL Vision 2050. In teams, participants were tasked with creating a master plan for UCL Bloomsbury, focusing on sustainability, connectivity, and identity. The hackathon provided a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, network with peers and professionals, enhance CVs and create high-quality work for portfolios, through practical, interdisciplinary learning.
