KPF Environmental Performance Specialist Remy Mermelstein spoke on the panel, “Environment, Sustainability, and Resilience: Insights for Emerging Architects”, moderated by KPF Senior Environmental Specialist Christina Brown.
On April 22, Earth Day 2026, Remy joined Chingche Huang, Senior Sustainability Designer at SOM, Ankita Nalavade, Principal Specialist on Standards of Practice Resilient & Sustainable Engineering at Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Mallory Taub, Sustainability Director at Gensler, in a discussion moderated by Christina.
The panelists discussed how the AEC industry can help to build a more sustainable future, sharing perspectives on career paths specializing in sustainability and insights on resilience. The event was organized by AIANY Emerging New York Architects Committee (ENYA) and AIANY Committee on the Environment (COTE).
