- KPF will present an internal town hall on Sustainability in Practice, A Vision for the Next 50 Years. Aligned with KPF’s 50th anniversary celebration this year, the session will offer staff an overview of KPF’s sustainable design initiatives and commitments and feature presentations on sustainable projects currently on the boards. Wednesday, September 23:
- KPF will host the USGBC Climate Week Roundtable. This invitation-only roundtable will convene senior leaders from insurance, banking, commercial real estate, lending, investment, and the building sector for a candid, Chatham House Rule discussion on the role of resilience in project financing and risk management decision making. Thursday, September 24:
- Join KPF and the Urban Land Institute for a morning session that explores how district energy may be a pathway to decarbonization in New York City. The event will feature the launch of a new research report, “District-Scale Building Electrification,” authored by Carbon Signal, 2026 A. Eugene Kohn Fellows, presentations on district energy case studies, a panel discussion, and networking. The A. Eugene Kohn Fellowship funds a year long research project related to sustainable design and is organized by the Urban Land Institute’s Randall Lewis Center for Sustainability in Real Estate. Past topics have included Adaptive Reuse and Balancing Embodied and Operational Carbon.
