Jamie von Klemperer and Elie Gamburg quoted on Seaport Square

Boston Business Journal covered the adventurous design of the three interconnected towers in the latest phase of the 23-acre master plan.

KPF President Jamie von Klemperer and Principal Elie Gamburg were quoted yesterday in the Boston Business Journal, discussing the next phase for the KPF-masterplanned Boston Seaport Square. The latest phase in the development comprises three interconnected residential towers arranged around an active central courtyard. Speaking on the scheme, Jamie and Elie described how the design was informed by the evolving context of the masterplan and consideration of the sort of buildings that make a good city. ‘We’ve always talked about the central courtyard being an urban village,’ explains Elie. ‘It’s not traditionally one of the features when one talks about residential. … This is a profoundly urban space.’
