HKUST(GZ) Nominated for ArchDaily China Building of the Year

Following the KPF-designed campusshortlist in the general chapter’s award program, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Guangzhou has been nominated in the Educational Architecture category of the China-led program.

Phase one of HKUST(GZ) has been fully operational since 2022, establishing a world-leading standard for sustainable developments in China. The 267-acre, carbon neutral-ready research and learning campus is founded on six key driving principles: Zero Impact, Resilience, Futureproofing, Social Wellbeing, Regenerative Systems, and Living Lab. The ArchDaily China Building of the Year Awards invites the public to vote on their favorite projects across 17 categories. The process starts with building nominations before the shortlist is decided on March 26.
