Hana Kassem Joins Yeohlee Teng in Conversation About the Intersection Between Fashion and Architecture

On May 29, the KPF Principal joined a panel discussion organized by the AIA NY Women in Architecture Committee to celebrate the designer’s talent, contributions to fashion, and her illustrious career.

At the event, notable New York women architects showcased Yeohlee’s collections in a runway show and shared their appreciation of how Yeohlee’s work resonates with their approach to architecture and design. The architects then discussed intersectionality between fashion and architecture, highlighting Yeohlee’s accomplishments and exploring her design philosophy, inspiration, and purpose to “clothe, enhance, engage, empower, and entertain,” similar to how architecture impacts our built environment.

Hana joined Susan Chin, FAIA, Principal, DesignConnects; Sylvia Smith, FAIA, Partner Emerita, FXCollaborative; Biile Tsien, AIA, Founder and Partner, Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects; and Claire Weisz, FAIA, Principal-in-Charge WXY. The panel discussion was moderated by Heidi Schmitt AIA, Project Architect, Gensler.

This event took place on Wednesday, May 29 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at FXCollaborative’s office. Learn more here.
