Hana Kassem Emphasizes the Importance of a Circular Economy at Perspective 2023

On October 26, the KPF Principal spoke on a panel opening the conference, organized by THE PLAN, where she discussed architectural solutions to improve the built environment.

Perspective 2023 brings together leaders in architecture, design, and urban planning, to discuss this year’s focus on the beneficial impact of a circular economy and how it plays a role in globalization. In the opening panel of the day, Hana provided insight into the influence of climate change on building design and how environmental, social, and governance factors are considered in the cities of the future.

In addition to her role as a Principal at KPF, Hana is involved in the greater architecture industry as the Vice President for Design Excellence at AIA New York. In the panel, Hana was joined by other chapter leaders, including Matthew Bremer AIA, Founder and Principal at Architecture in Formation and President at AIA New York; Rocco Giannetti FAIA, Regional Managing Principal at Gensler and Vice President for Public Outreach at AIA New York; Andrea Lamberti AIA, Partner at Rafael Viñoly Architects and ex officio, Immediate Past President at AIA New York; and William Horgan, Partner at Grimshaw Architects.
