The KPF Director joined the conference in Naples as a presenter and panel moderator, to discuss catalysts for successful urban regeneration.
Francesco’s presentation “Regeneration Catalysts,” explored the core components of successful cities – including examples from KPF’s portfolio that demonstrates commitment to design with community and context and the forefront – from Naples and Milan to New York and London. The presentation identified key contributors that transform these neighborhoods from single-use districts into mixed-use, central social districts.
Francesco also moderated the panel discussion titled “Urban Regeneration: Visions and Practices From the World” with panellists Louis Becker, Global Design Director at Henning Larsen; Dimitrios Vlachakos, Deputy Mayor of Technology and Information and New Technology at the Municipality of Pireo; Grigoris Konstantelos, Mayor of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni; and from Ernest Young, Antonio Lombardo, Consulting Government and Public Sector Lead, and Senior Advisor Marco Mena.
