Elie Gamburg Discusses Potential for the Adaptive Reuse at King’s College London

KPF Design Principal Elie Gamburg discussed refurbishment vs replacement of 20th-century buildings on December 13 at King’s College London (King’s) with the University Design Forum.

Using KPF’s recent work on a masterplan framework for the Strand and Waterloo campuses of King’s,  Elie gave a short presentation on “Challenges and Opportunities in the 20th-century Strand Campus,” before joining an expert panel for questions. Elie was joined by Ian Caldwell, former Director of Estates and Services of KCL; Nick O’Donnell, Director of Estates and Services; Ian McKnight of Hall McKnight; David Chesire of AECOM; and Patrick Watson of 3PM. A discussion by the panelists followed the presentation.
