Elias Anka Joins MaCAD Studio at IAAC as Expert Juror

KPF’s Lead Environmental Specialist joined students of the Advanced Computation for Architecture & Design Studio (MaCAD) at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) as a jury member for the end-of-year pinup presentation.

Students presented their explorations into AI as a design driver for improving building performance and resilience, to a jury of environmental and computational design specialists.

Elias was joined on the jury by Emanuele Naboni, Professor of Architecture and Climate Change at the Royal Danish Academy; Herman Calleja, Sustainability Lead at SOM and, Mathias Sonderskov Schaltz, Computational Design Lead and Architect at LINK Arkitectur.

MaCAD is a unique online programme, training a new generation of architects, engineers and designers. The programme provides expertise in the application of the latest digital software for design simulation, analysis and optimisation of digital data in architecture, providing theoretical and practical knowledge of computational design.
