1000 Maine Wins NAIOP Award of Excellence

The Commercial Real Estate Development Association honored the project with the title of Best Urban Office.

Sitting on the Washington Channel of the Potomac River, 1000 Maine is the first trophy office building within The Wharf, a revived waterfront district of Washington D.C. The building rises 11 stories, three of which compose a grand lobby and atrium. 1000 Maine is also home to premium amenities including a 3,500 square foot spa and fitness center and a rooftop terrace with waterfront and city views.

Designed and built over an existing garage, 1000 Maine introduces a variety of new construction components that elevate the site, including an exterior curtainwall with projecting terracotta fins with glass and aluminum details and a two-story tall Nero Marquina black marble wall in the lobby. 1000 Maine is LEED Gold-certified for core and shell and implements sustainable and energy efficient systems.
