天津恒隆广场是和平路步行街项目的最后一期,也是新建商业区的核心项目,是重获新生的海河旁具有里程碑意义的项目。天津恒隆广场拥有天津最大的公共空间,为改建的滨河区域带来了新的活力,同时也彻底改变了中国城市商场的角色。

几乎在每一层,建筑都重新定义了商业模式,打造了140万平方英尺的城市商场。动线与沿街的活动场所相互渗透,使得建筑将传统的繁华商业环境以现代模式呈现。二层和三层“箱体”空间内为各种品牌店,各功能空间沿步行街垂直组合。

外立面混凝土和玻璃结构从滨河区域蜿蜒向上,与对面的南立面相互靠拢,形成6层高的建筑(1200英尺长的巨型结构),与周边和平区的环境融为一体。该外立面结构是该区域最长的单体构筑物,由22块7层高的混凝土拱肋和1万多块玻璃构成。
