Growing up Seoul, Lee Changsub’s favorite activity is watching construction of the 123-floor Lotte Tower with binoculars from his balcony at home.  All of 9-years-old, Changsub has studied skyscrapers, memorizing all the tallest towers in the world and their architects. He has filled his head with facts and figures about how they are constructed, and designs his own buildings drawing inspiration from the world around him.

Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates Reaches 40-Year Anniversary

40 years ago on July 4th, 1976, A. Eugene Kohn, William Pedersen, and Sheldon Fox founded Kohn Peder-sen Fox Associates (KPF) in the midst of an economic downturn, confident in their combined abilities and partnership.  Within two years of its founding, William Louie, current principal, joined KPF. The firm’s first project was the renovation of the ABC Armory Building in New York (completed 1978). KPF soon gained national recognition with the design of such buildings as 333 Wacker Drive in Chicago, the head-quarters for Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, and the World Bank in Washington DC.
