A dedicated focus on the end user is at the heart of Sam’s approach to architecture. The experience, wellness, and future success of communities guide her design philosophy, carrying into her management approach where she is dedicated to facilitating collaboration across design teams to deliver the best outcomes for each project.

Over the course of her career, Sam has brought valuable technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to deliver complex projects incorporating a mix of existing and new build elements. At Shenzhen Center, a transit-oriented, mixed-use development with a 375-meter tower, her role included close collaboration with the client and consultants from concept through to construction administration.

Sam has extensive experience with large-scale masterplans, particularly those with a strong retail component such as the Yiwu retail street and residential district, and the mixed-use district, Huangpu Yuyuan. Also in China, she was an integral part of the technical, design, and delivery team for the Official’s Village for the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou.

With experience in a number of transport facilities, Sam has proven expertise in balancing strict technical requirements with diverse stakeholder needs. Of note, she led the coordination of fire strategy, accessibility, life safety, and security for Zayed International Airport Terminal A.

Sam’s work in London includes the refurbishment of the Covent Garden Flower Cellars and Heron Tower in the City of London.

Within KPF, Sam focuses on quality management, staff development, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
