The KPF-designed master plan became the first community project in Guangdong Province to obtain the LEED Community Plan & Design Platinum certification.
Spanning 200 acres in Shenzhen’s Caitian district, the project received the LEED V4.1 Platinum certification for City and Community Plan and Design, marking the development’s status as a future-ready neighborhood. The project was evaluated on the special planning of subsystems such as natural ecology, land use, transportation, economy and society impact, and energy and water waste and production. City and community planning are ingrained into the fabric of Vanke Cloud Gradus, in addition to the individual buildings being green by design. At the heart of Vanke Cloud Gradus’ planning proposal is the establishment of a new urban network that integrates public space with surrounding plots, blocks, and communities in three dimensions.
