Vanke Cloud Gradus Honored in Architizer A+ Awards

The KPF-designed mixed-use neighborhood has received a special mention in the Unbuilt Commercial category of this year’s program.

The 200-acre urban plan offers Shenzhen a new hub for work and leisure, conveniently located near the city’s Civic Center and above a metro line. The plan builds on Shenzhen’s history of innovation in urban design to establish a new paradigm: a network of activities and experiences, integrated with nature, to create a new heart for the city.  The urban forms and structures of historic cities were reimagined to accommodate greater levels of intensity while maintaining a human scale. At the center of this approach is a three-dimensional network of public spaces and links which form the framework around which districts, neighborhoods and communities can emerge. The project recently became the first community in the Guangdong Province to obtain the LEED Community Plan & Design Platinum certification.

2023 marked the program’s 11th season of celebrating exceptional designs around the world in the world’s largest awards program for architecture and spaces. View the full list of winners here.
