Two KPF Projects Are Finalists in the 2021 MIPIM Awards

The Bermondsey Project and Baker Circle were both included in the Best Futura Mega Project category, with the winners to be announced on September 8th.

Set to become one of London’s largest built-to-rent developments, the Bermondsey Project is a 12-acre mixed-use masterplan. Retaining historic buildings in the area, the scheme integrates 1,548 rental homes, a secondary school, over 10,000 sqm of new office space and 10,000 sqm of retail and culture facilities, while maximizing porosity and connectivity through the development.

Baker Circle is located in Hong Kong’s Hung Hom neighborhood and aims to redefine the skyline and urban realm of the area over seven parcels. The development draws inspiration from Hong Kong’s industrial and shipping heritage and use of playful colors in residential developments, updating the city’s traditional single-level retail layouts into a vertical village that maximizes visibility.

The MIPIM jury reviewed over 172 entries from 36 countries, shortlisting only four projects for each of the 12 competition categories. The winners will be announced in a ceremony on September 8th. View all the finalists and learn more about the MIPIM Awards here.
