The Architect’s Newspaper Explores WELL Certified Community Water Street Tampa and its Team of Collaborators

Developed by Strategic Property Partners, Water Street Tampa is located next to the Amalie Arena and spans nine million square feet of mixed-use programming across multiple buildings, with 13 acres of public space. The article highlights KPF’s contribution to the district, Heron, a two-tower residential project that was featured in the magazine after its opening in 2022. The two buildings are connected by a retail podium with a landscaped roof, designed by Raymond Jungles. Heron marks the beginning of the city’s famed Riverwalk and engages with pedestrians through a lifted eastern tower perched upon a sculptural tree column. The development also features office, residential, and hotel buildings designed by Morris Adjmi and COOKFOX, with a master plan by Elkus Manfredi Architects, and Reed Hilderbrand as the lead landscape architect.

Water Street Tampa is the first neighborhood in North America to achieve a WELL Community Certification and hasachieved LEED certification.
