Principal Lloyd Sigal Elevated to AIA College of Fellows

The 2018 Jury of Fellows from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) elevated 152 members and two international architects to its esteemed College of Fellows. KPF’s Lloyd Sigal has been awarded this honor for his significant contributions to the profession.

Lloyd has managed some of KPF’s largest and most complex projects, spanning commercial, mixed-use, transportation, hospitality, academic, governmental, residential, sports, and convention facilities in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Currently, Lloyd is the Managing Principal for 440 West Julian Street, a one million-square-foot commercial development in San Jose; One Bayfront Plaza, set to be Miami’s tallest tower; and Hudson Yards, the centerpiece of New York City’s redevelopment of the far west side of Manhattan.

The fellowship program was developed to elevate architects who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession and made a substantial contribution to architecture and society. Out of more than 91,000 AIA members, only three-percent are recognized as fellows. The fellows will be honored at the 2018 AIA Conference on Architecture on June 22 in New York City.
