On November 3, the KPF Director and Global Head of Design Technology provided insight into the history of the firm’s Urban Interface (KPFui) group and goals for the future.
Luc was joined by other industry leaders who have played important roles in starting specialist groups at their firms. He covered the development of the KPFui team, which leverages data and computation to address the rising challenges of the modern city, and discuss his vision for the team moving forward. The roundtable included Jason Steiner, Partner and Director of Digital Design at Mithun; Martha Tsigkari, Senior Partner, Head Applier R&D at Foster + Partners; Pragya Gupta, Firmwide Design Computation Team Leader at NBBJ; and Pablo Zamorano Mosnaim, Senior Associate, Head of Geometry and Computational Design at Heatherwick Studio. Brian Ringley moderated the roundtable.
The 11th annual AECtech ran from November 1 to 5 and included both virtual and in person events, featuring a tech crawl and a 26-hour hackathon. Luc spoke at the Symposium on November 3 at 4:30pm held at the Center for Architecture. Learn more about the event here.
