On November 2nd, the KPF Director and Head of KPFui moderated three panels on technological innovation as part of the conference themed “Digital Drivers for Future Practices.”
The full-day event featured keynote presentations, panels, and demos from leading professionals in the tech industry. The first panel Luc Wilson moderated, “Go With the [Urban] Flow,” discussed the benefits of open data and how to utilize it to create new models for urban placemaking. The second panel was titled “Tools for Equitable Stakeholder Engagement” and explored the challenge of futureproofing housing to mitigate issues of equity and social justice. Capping off the conference, “Future Forward: Emerging AEC Technology Transforming Practice” focused on industry leaders’ predictions for the tools that will define the future of design practice. Alongside The Architect’s Newspaper’s President Diana Darling, Luc presented the welcome and closing comments.
The Tech+ conference was presented by The Architect’s Newspaper and offered up to 6 AIA LUs while unpacking the potential of data to inform smarter and more equitable architecture and urban design. Registration for the virtual event took place here.
