KPF’s design for a mixed-use scheme at 13-14 Appold Street has been approved.
KPF’s design for a mixed-use scheme at 13-14 Appold Street, on the fringe of the City of London, was approved last week by London Borough of Hackney councillors. The planning report praised the successful response to the constraints of the site, describing the scheme as having a ‘bold and unique character’.
The ‘pronounced slenderness’ of the 156m-tall tower will create an elegant local marker in views from Liverpool Street Station. The scheme comprises office and hotel accommodation as well as a members club and ground level retail and restaurant spaces, transforming a major arterial road into a vibrant destination that creates an activated ‘bridge’ between the City of London and Shoreditch.
