Nine KPF buildings are featured in “London’s Growing Up: A Decade of Building Tall,” the tenth edition of the New London Architecture (NLA) Tall Buildings Survey.
“Tall buildings have changed the face of London substantially over the last 20 years and will continue to do so,” says Peter Murray OBE, Co-Founder of NLA, noting that the report marks both the 10th anniversary of the NLA London Tall Buildings survey and the 20th anniversary of the London Plan.
The latest survey features tall buildings that represent the transformation of London’s evolving skyline and discusses how they are likely to shape London into the future, including a selection of KPF projects designed or completed in the last decade. The selection of KPF projects includes Chapter London Bridge, an all-electric student accommodation tower currently under construction; 40 Charter Street, which will offer 552 build-to-rent, social, and prime residential apartments in Canary Wharf’s emerging residential district; 52 Lime Street, commonly known as The Scalpel; and adaptive reuse project Southbank Tower.
“London’s population continues to grow, passing the 10 million mark at the end of this decade,” concludes Murray, “We’ll still need tall buildings; and NLA will continue to keep a close watch on what’s going on.” Read the full report here.
