The video “KPF Looks Back on 2023” and the Spring 2023 issue of the KPF Review magazine both received accolades from the AEC marketing awards program as effective communication tools.
The Liberty Awards program recognized KPF for two of the firm’s marketing and communications efforts. In the Video category, “KPF Looks Back on 2023” was given the Award of Excellence. Highlighting the firm’s many significant achievements, the video features a bold graphic treatment and spotlights project milestones, press, and firm culture through the lens of third-party endorsements. The video also honors the life of KPF co-founder Gene Kohn after his passing, reflecting on his belief in the impact of architecture on individuals and communities.
In the Newsletter category, KPF Review, the firm’s bi-annual publication, won the Merit Award. The Spring 2023 issue, Adaptive Reuse, is the first in a two-part series about carbon, focused on the urgent need to reduce the carbon impact of the built environment. This issue is organized around four sustainable design strategies the firm is leveraging: preservation, rejuvenation, conversion, and densification. Examining several of KPF’s projects as case studies, the issue showcased the firm’s commitment to decarbonization as the primary goal of adaptive reuse.
