Today, Swire Properties revealed the first details of the KPF-designed two-tower development that includes The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, which comprises 220 Residences and what is destined to be Mandarin Oriental’s North American flagship hotel.
Located on Brickell Key, an island community developed by Swire Properties over the past 40 years, One Island Drive will serve as a beacon of understated luxury on the waterfront. “One Island Drive will represent a high point in our global portfolio of luxury residential and hospitality projects,” said Forth Bagley, KPF Managing Principal. “We are particularly proud of this project’s design. Its unique blend of urban and resort amenities will together create a new paradigm for living, visiting, and entertaining in Miami. We are thrilled to be working with Swire Properties and Mandarin Oriental on this one-of-a-kind endeavor.”
Rising 800 feet, the first tower comprises The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, and houses 220 private two-to-four-bedroom homes and two duplex penthouses. The second tower, a 400-foot-tall Mandarin Oriental hotel, consists of 151 guest rooms, 61 private residences, and 28 hotel Residences. The two towers are connected by a resort-style podium with 100,000 square feet of amenities, featuring multi-tiered landscaped infinity pools, private cabanas, world-class restaurants, a spa, and state-of-the-art health and wellness facilities. The landscaping will evoke a tropical Eden, creating canopies of color and texture that serve as an extension of the Brickell Key baywalk.
In the announcement, Henry Bott, President of Swire Properties Inc., said, “Destined to become Miami’s most coveted condominium address, One Island Drive pairs intricately designed interiors with expansive private outdoor spaces that offer unmatched views of Biscayne Bay and the glittering skyline.”
