This week, members from the KPF community group provided insight into the portfolio designs of 14 local students from NOMAS.
The event began with an introduction to KPF’s practice, led by Associate Principal Yafei Zhang, highlighting the firm’s structure and expertise. NOMAS alumni at KPF, including Yafei, as well as Nika Mo, Cristina Mock, and Gladis Adorno, hosted a Q&A session, providing insight into their career paths and how they stay involved in the greater architecture community. The main event of the night was two rounds of one-on-one portfolio reviews between students and KPF mentors, working with students who attended the event in person as well as online.
The event was planned and organized by Yafei, Christina Brown, Josh Chaiken, Mathieu Comqard, and Kavitha Mathew. The portfolio reviewers from KPF were Justin Pang, Jindian Fu, Remy Mermelstein, Danielle Aspitz, Quoc Dang, Mustafa Khan, Ian Leung, Martha Thomas, Yuan Li, Liza Otto, Yumeng Liu, Min Kim, Jules Kleitman, Morta Bautrenaite, Cristina Mock, Nika Mo, Gladis Adorno, Yennifer Diaz, and Jacob Wong.
