Kohn Pedersen Fox is pleased to announce the promotion of four architects to Director, fifteen to Senior Associate Principal (SAP), and nineteen to Associate Principal (AP) across its international offices.
Cobus Bothma, Director
Cobus Bothma joined KPF in London in 2008. Previously an industrial designer for automotive and electronic companies, Bothma’s involvement with KPF centers on design, computation, analysis, and communication. Bothma managed the FF&E package and 3D BIM dataset for the Abu Dhabi International Airport team. In addition to project work, Cobus is the director of Applied Research firmwide overseeing most aspects of new technology development and adoption.
Lei Li, Director
Lei Li joined KPF in New York in 2003. With over twenty years of experience in the United States and Asia working on a variety of project types—including masterplans, supertalls, office, retail, residential and mixed-use developments, and airports—Li has particular expertise leading the design of projects in China, collaborating with some of the country’s foremost developers and corporations. Li focuses on place-making, with critical attention to site and cultural context. Li served as the Senior Designer for mixed-use, supertall CITIC Tower in Beijing and Chegongmiao Terra City, an urban renewal project in Shenzhen.
Jenny Martin, Director
Jenny Martin also joined KPF in New York in 2003. Bringing over eighteen years of experience as a project architect, manager, and technical and construction coordinator, Martin’s design and planning expertise ranges from offices, commercial interiors, and education facilities to mixed-use developments and masterplans. Martin served as Job Captain for Prudential Newark, a LEED Gold certified headquarters, Project Manager of the LEED Platinum certified 1775 Tysons Boulevard in Virginia, and Technical Coordinator for supertall One Bayfront Plaza in Miami. Within the firm, Martin is a member for the firm’s peer review committee and co-manages the Manhattan office’s material library.
James Miles, Director
James Miles joined KPF in London in 2013 as a Senior Associate Principal. With experience across a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, retail, community, transport, and healthcare, Miles possesses the technical knowledge and design skills required to take projects from inception to completion. Miles’ proven ability to deliver high quality, innovative designs frequently exceed client expectations, and he particularly excels in the design of complex façade systems. Miles served as Project Manager for Wellington Street and the Sanctuary within Covent Garden, a regeneration and conservation of the Covent Garden estate in central London.
