KPF Hong Kong Hosts Annual Visit with Student Architecture Enthusiasts

Continuing its collaboration with the Hong Kong Design Centre, KPF welcomed a group of elementary school students for a tour of the office and a presentation about the field of architecture as well as the firm’s design work.

Sponsored by the Business of Design Week (BODW) City Programme, an organization initiated by the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), the visit was part of the Design !n Action series, a multi-disciplinary extracurricular program to aid in life planning and career cultivation for primary to tertiary school students. The two-hour event included a tour of the studio and presentations led by Associate Principal Ringo Tse, and Architectural Designers Alana Tam and Howard Au. After hearing a brief history of the firm and details about the process of becoming an architect, the students learned how to draw plans of their homes and were challenged to build tall structures out of paper.
