KPF was Highly Commended in the Best Tall Building Architect category at this year’s Tall Buildings Awards, for the technicality and creativity of DAMAC Tower.
DAMAC Tower, shortlisted in multiple categories, is an all-electric, mixed-use development in London’s Nine Elms. KPF’s design presents a careful composition of three distinct elements: a single, slender, private residential tower, a significantly lower affordable residential south block, and a striking glazed horizontal office element bridging the two buildings and intersecting the main tower.
The Tall Buildings Awards recognise projects and firms that advance the design and construction of tall buildings in the UK. The awards look to demonstrate how innovative technologies can add real value to the tall buildings sector in terms of building safety, environmental practices, cost efficiencies and delivery timescales – offering new solutions for others to follow.
