North Bund (Lot 91) has been recognized in the Future Project category.
North Bund (Lot 91) is Shanghai’s first all-electric supertall at 480 meters, which invites the public to appreciate the views from the building’s crown. Located near the confluence of two bodies of water, the Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek, and at the nexus of three neighborhoods, LuJiaShui, PuXi, and North Bund, the project reflects themes of intersection and balance throughout its design. The tower transforms from a circular floor plan at the lower levels into a triangular floor plan as the building rises. The crown of the tower culminates in three dramatic, stepped elements that elevate the tower’s presence amongst Shanghai’s skyline, ensuring that the supertall remains visually approachable.
Award of Excellence winners will be presented at the CTBUH 2024 International Conference in London & Paris this September. The Awards honour the most exemplary projects in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, and adjacent disciplines across the globe.
