KPF Director James Miles joined Hines for the Urban Regeneration Council meeting at this year’s conference.
James joined the discussion titled, “Hines: Strategy for Urban Regeneration – EXTM – Ex Trotto Milan, San Siro project” along with Stefano Pagliano, Director of Living at Hines.
KPF has worked in close partnership with Hines on the design of EXTM, a significant regeneration project on the outskirts of Milan. The project will transform a 130,000-square-meter area, abandoned since 2012, into a new, inclusive and sustainable urban district, designed to serve more than 3,000 people. EXTM aims to deliver positive social impact through a mix of residential solutions, intergenerational and public services, and a new 50,000-square-meter park open to the city with 700 new trees and shrubs.
The Urban Regeneration Council is one of the ULI’s European Product Councils, a forum where industry leaders meet, exchange ideas, share best practice, and foster thought leadership. With a genuinely international membership, the councils provide a unique platform to learn from peers in the same sector who are operating in different geographical markets, and to help shape the future of pan-European real estate.
