The KPF-designed resort in Dubai was included in the magazine’s inaugural list of the greatest hotels across the globe.
In the first iteration of the list, HOTELS Magazine identified the top 25 global cites and regions from which to highlight the very best hospitality destinations. Readers nominated their favorites, and the editorial team made the final selection, considering factors such as design, service, amenities, and legacy.
In selecting Atlantis The Royal, HOTELS Magazine says, “Perhaps no other destination in the world does over-the-top decadence better than Dubai. And, in our estimation, no hotel in Dubai does it better than Atlantis The Royal Dubai, a 795-room Tetris-like hotel, which does luxury at scale.”
The striking, terraced form of the building and sky-bridge give Atlantis The Royal its iconic silhouette. A series of sky courts and terraces ensure that a substantial portion of the hotel rooms and residences feature outdoor space, private pools, and shaded gardens, while its location on the outer edge of Palm Jumeriah Island provides guests with sweeping views of both the Dubai skyline and the Gulf.
Since its grand reveal last year with a performance by Beyoncé, Atlantis The Royal has received numerous awards and accolades, including a spot on The World’s 50 Best Hotels list, a “not to miss” raking in Forbes, and a CTBUH Award for Best Tall Building – Middle East and Africa.
