The KPF-designed residential project won gold in the People’s Choice Awards Apartment category.
Heron, an LEED Gold development, anchors the city’s famed Riverwalk in Water Street Tampa, the world’s first WELL-certified neighborhood. The pair of residential towers gesture toward the nearby waterfront and are connected at their base by a retail podium. Angular, wrap-around balconies offer each unit private outdoor space and serve as shading devices and light diffusers for the apartments below. The development includes two heated rooftop pools, outdoor grilling stations, a fitness studio, in addition to a parking garage and bike storage.

Shortly after the project’s completion in 2021, Heron received AIA Tampa’s highest honor, the H. Dean Rowe Award for Design Excellence, in the Tampa Bay Design Awards.
