Earlier this month, the KPF Principal served as a juror for the annual awards, celebrating design excellence across the state.
Chaired by Suchi Reddy, AIA, Founder of Reddymade Architecture and Design, the 2022 jury also included Vivian Lee, FAIA, Design Director at Gensler in addition to Hana. The three architects selected 14 project awards, and energy data collected from submissions helped to determine one Architecture 2030 Award.
Hana currently serves on the AIANY Executive Board of Trustees as VP for Design Excellence and is the Founding Chair for its annual Leaning Out | Women in Architecture panel. She also serves on the Van Alen Institute Executive Board of Trustees, where she initiated foundational thinking for the Neighborhoods Now project, which mobilized more than 150 architects to employ their design skills in the service of neighborhoods in need during the Covid-19 pandemic. Hana was appointed to serve on the Mayor’s Advisory Council for post Covid-19 reopening of NYC.
The AIAO Architecture Awards honor outstanding design as a nationally renowned jury recognizes architects, their clients, industry partners, and communities for achieving design excellence locally and globally, regardless of project scale, budget, type, or location.
The 2022 awards were held on November 18th at the Portland Museum of Art. View all of this year’s winners here.
