The Managing Principal spoke on a panel about identifying challenges and embracing change when designing healthy spaces, and the Senior Associate Principal moderated a discussion about strategies for a low carbon future.
On November 21, Forth Bagley spoke on the panel titled, “Vertical and Horizontal Transportation Design Mitigation Related to Disease Control for Commercial Mixed-Use Towers.” The panel was moderated by Steven Miller, Founder, AIA International Region, and also featured Shawn Basler, Co-CEO and Executive Director of Perkins Eastman, and Julian Olley, Director of Transportation at Arup.
On November 19, in his role as AIA UK Sustainability Co-Chair, Alex Miller moderated a talk on “Pursuing Net Zero Carbon in the United Kingdom.” The event included a range of professionals, such as Gary Clark, Regional Leader of Science + Technology at HOK, Alex Widdison, Director at AKT II, and Dr. Julie Godefroy, Technical Manager at CIBSE.
The AIA International Region virtual conference spanned five days, starting on November 17, and featured a range of events hosted by multiple IR chapters and IR chapter representatives.
