Brooklyn Point Nominated for 6sqft’s Building of the Year

The KPF-designed residential tower is in the running for the 2021 award, chosen by the public through an open online vote.

Rising 720 feet, Brooklyn Point acts as a gateway to its Downtown Brooklyn neighborhood. It features a retail podium that plugs into the City Point development, and is comprised of 458 custom residences, ranging from studios to 3-bedrooms. The building is home to the city’s highest rooftop infinity pool as well as over 40,000 square feet of lifestyle amenities open to tenants, establishing a new standard of luxury living.

The tower’s sculptural façade is designed as two folded sheets that reveal at opposite corners, while the crown angles upward to an iconic point. Double-height frames highlight the verticality of the building—second tallest in the borough—and its facetted planes add a creative depth and texture to the exterior that suits Brooklyn’s artistic reputation.

6sqft selected 16 of the most notable residential projects of 2021 for its seventh annual competition. Voting is open to the public until midnight on Sunday, December 26, with a winner announced the following day. Learn more about the nominees and vote here.
