On Wednesday October 2, KPF-designed 520 Fifth Avenue will host architecture and construction enthusiasts on a tour of the mixed-use supertall.
The 88-story mixed-use vertical village comprises residential programming above office above ground-level retail, a rarely executed combination in New York City’s Midtown neighborhood. 520 Fifth Avenue is set to be the tallest residential building on the famed retail thoroughfare, offering high-end apartments and world-class amenities encased in a classically inspired façade of arched windows. The column-free interiors and efficient core allow for the flexibility of interior spaces, supporting the personalization of the modern work-life balance and the rise of collaborative living and working styles.
Archtober is a year-round organization that promotes the discovery of architecture and design through events and content, culminating in a month-long festival every October. As “Building of the Day” on October 2, 520 Fifth Avenue is part of an Archtober program that aims to make exemplary architecture accessible to the general public. The site tour will begin at 12pm EST with a presentation at KPF’s New York office, followed by a short walk across 43rd Street to the construction site. Read more and register here.
