The Hong Kong Green Finance Association’s TOP 100 Low Carbon Buildings photobook recognizes the projects moving sustainable development forward in this dynamic region.
The seven KPF Projects included in the Hong Kong Green Finance Association’s publication were the Goldin Financial Global Centre (LEED Platinum), Chater House, Hysan Place (HK-BEAM Platinum, LEED Platinum), International Commerce Centre, Qianhai Kerry Centre, K11 Atelier Victoria Dockside (LEED Platinum), and the Ping An Finance Centre (LEED Gold, BREEAM Very Good). The book’s authors put these projects forward as examples of how low-carbon development can support the region’s intense economic growth while accelerating the transition to a carbon-neutral future.
The selected projects take a range of approaches to sustainable operations, and many have been designed by KPF to meet stringent sustainability benchmarks, such as LEED, BREEAM, HK-BEAM, or China’s Three-Star system. Goldin Financial Global Centre, Chater House, and the International Commerce Centre incorporate smart building management technologies to minimize energy consumption by monitoring and optimizing interior temperature and air quality. A few, including K11 Atelier and the Qianhai Kerry Centre, incorporate photovoltaic arrays to produce electricity on site.
