30 Hudson Yards Tops Out at 1,296 Feet

The 1,296-foot-tall building comprises more than 40,000 pieces of steel weighing 91,500 tons, 1.25 million bolts and enough welding to cover 196 miles. With the firm’s fully-tenanted 10 Hudson Yards open, this event marks the structural apex of KPF’s presence at Hudson Yards. The two towers, designed as a pair, tilt in opposing directions in a purposeful dialogue; one tower defers to the city and the other pays homage to the Hudson River. Together, they will offer varying experiences depending on the viewing location, ultimately creating a dynamic presence on the New York cityscape.

“The topping out of 30 Hudson Yards, and completion of its steel crown, represents another important milestone as we approach the neighborhood’s March 2019 opening,” said L.
