The KPF-designed residential tower, developed by JBG SMITH, celebrated the milestone this week, with completion slated for 2025.
Located in the heart of National Landing, the location of Amazon’s new headquarters, with proximity to the Potomac River and Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport, 2000 South Bell Street’s energetic massing balances two façade patterns to transition between its low-rise and high-rise volumes. An interior, open-air courtyard at the lobby level welcomes visitors and residents alike, while at the upper levels, communal and private terraces look towards D.C.’s monuments. Tenants will have access to a rooftop amenity deck and swimming pool, as well as a two-story garage podium. A portion of the 355 units are designated as affordable residences.
2000 South Bell Street is part of a two-building development which broke ground in 2022. In total, the development includes 755 units and 27,000 square feet of retail space.
